All kind of generations are welcome but prefered are the weird, surprizing, surreal, disturbing, bizarre, unsettling, uncanny, strange, visceral, creative, original, shocking...
No censorship whatsoever. Everything goes.
Unlike a printed magazine the web is fluid and dynamic. I'll give each invited artist access to update their content, edit descriptions, add/delete/switch/edit text images and videos etc.
This site was created and is maintained by me, @erik_gen_ai, I'm a graphic designer, web developer and instructor. A german national living in Chicago.
I was just going to test a new, more affotable host for my sites and started this one. But then I kinda like the idea of an AI artists showcase. I tend to not overthink stuff so I went for it, registered a domain and built the site over the weekend. Plan is to ask people I follow generating faszinating stuff to participate with some images/videos or image-sets and to write a few comments about the pieces. I'm curious what's poeople driving to create AI content and the ideas behind images. And if the generations are just for fun, that's totally fine as well. It's just that social media feeds with JUST images can become numbing if consumed in large amounts – and I like the idea to slow down a bit and to read about some insights, methods etc.
I know people wouldn't post here if it's too much work. Using this site's admin, image sets can be uploaded in bulks with drag and drop. Should not take longer than 20min or so to get a page up with an artist intro text and a handful of image-sets with descriptions.
I like the DE::GENERATED name as a word play with double meaning. Of course there's "generated" art. But yeah it's also a salute to degenerate art, a term the Nazis created to describe and ban art not aligning with their aesthetic ideals. And this site is a place for art that likely doesn't align with the generic taste of the majority.
Images are censorship free. Such faszinating new possibilies of self expresssion and creative experimentation should not be moderated or moderate :-).
